How Globo Works

Geo-controlled, day-and-date release

A Korean film releasing in Seoul today can stream in the US the same day — and stay blocked in Korea while it's still in theaters there.

1

Producer sets the release

The producer uploads the movie and chooses exactly which countries can watch it, and at what ticket price, from day one.

2

Globo geo-blocks by country

The film is available only where the producer allows — protecting the theatrical run at home while unlocking a global audience abroad.

3

Viewers buy a ticket & watch

No subscription — just a single ticket purchase per movie, with a generous window to watch whenever it suits you.

Built for Both Sides of the Screen

Every feature, for everyone

Day-1 global release

Watch movies from your home country the same day they hit theaters there — wherever you live now.

No subscription, ever

Just buy a ticket for the movie you want. No monthly fees, no bundles you don't watch.

5–6x watch window

A 2-hour movie ticket gives you 10–12 hours of watch time — come back whenever it fits your schedule.

Basic or Premium tickets

Pick Basic — up to 50% cheaper with ads — or go Premium for an ad-free experience.

Real-World Example

Released in Mumbai today? Stream it in London tonight.

A Bollywood or regional film — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, or Punjabi — releasing in Indian theaters today becomes instantly available to Indian audiences in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and other producer-selected countries the same day. It stays geo-blocked inside India until the theatrical run there is complete, so NRIs and the Indian diaspora never have to wait for a movie their family back home is watching this weekend.

Questions

Frequently asked

When does Globo launch?
We're finalizing our first slate of producer partners and launch countries. Join the waitlist to get the exact date first, plus early access before the public launch.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Globo is entirely ticket-based — you only pay for the movies you actually want to watch, choosing a Basic (ad-supported) or Premium (ad-free) ticket.
How long can I watch a movie after buying a ticket?
Each ticket unlocks roughly 5–6 times the movie's runtime in total watch hours — for a 2-hour film, that's about 10–12 hours to start, pause, and finish on your schedule.
I'm a producer — how does pricing and payout work?
You set your own ticket price per country. Globo adds a fixed platform fee on top, so you keep the entire ticket sale amount you decided — tracked and paid out through the producer dashboard.
Which countries will be supported at launch?
Coverage depends on the producers who join at launch — since each producer chooses their own release countries. Join the waitlist and tell us where you're watching from.
